LUMSDEN GRINDING

Steel plate is only stocked in a standard range of specific thicknesses and often to a tolerance that is often greater than the requirements of the final product, this can be a problem. Fortunately, our Lumsden grinding services exist to solve this problem, grinding mild steel profiles down to your custom required thickness and at the same time offer an excellent cosmetic finish.

 

 Capacity and Tolerances

 

  • Piece size of up to 60” Diameter.

  • Flat / parallel to within 0.04mm to 0.05mm per running 300mm.

  • Standard dimension tolerance of +/- 0.25mm

  • Specified dimensions ground tolerance of +/- 0.12mm
